Half Round Coffee Table

A few years ago I made a Full Round Coffee Table with a sun pattern and curvy legs. I have wanted to make another one or something similar to it.  I finally decided to make a delicate version of the original, a smaller half round end table with thinner legs.  This table is made completely from reclaimed lumber, The darker wood is Ipe’ and came from a house on the beach in Rio Del Mar, Ca and the Brazilian Cherry came from a flooded house in Aptos, Ca.  I was limited by the thickness of the Ipe’ that I had so I decided to make the legs half the thickness of the original full round table.  The thinner legs really changed the feel of the project and gave the table a very delicate feel to it.

The Table is
18" Tall
23" Wide
12" Deep

Custom Sunset Knife Block

The Sunset Knife Block is one of my favorite pieces I make!  I make each one a little different depending on the woods I have available in my shop (I like to use as much reclaimed wood as possible).
I have a standard layout for the knife slots, but if you want to make sure all your knives fit you can send me a tracing of all you knives and I will make sure they all fit. Each one is numbered and signed so you know you have a something Unique!

You can get your order started by emailing me; dan@forshnerdesigns.com, or on my Etsy site Here!

Here is a picture a customer sent me of their custom Knife Block in action!

Here are a few Past Knife Blocks, I like to make each one a little different!

A Little Project for The Abbey

This is a Cabinet Island that I Built for The Abbey Coffee Shop, I Finished this project a couple months ago, but I have been supper busy so I didn't get a chance to post about it.

This project was a little bigger that I usually like to take on, mostly because it takes up the entire shop. I worked in a cabinet shop for a couple of years when I was in high school and that's where I really started to get into fine woodworking, so this project was fun to get back to my earlier day of wood working.
